Working with Legacy has always been an excellent experience. We work mostly with Jim and Steve, and they come through with ideas of how the pieces are going to be engineered based on what our customers would like. We all have a good idea of what can and can’t be done. In the past, Legacy has turned a usual one-piece cabinet into two or three sections that can be assembled on site and into a difficult area. Legacy can do things no other company can do, and that gives us the ability to offer our customers a wider choice ofcabinetry styles, sizes, and setups. I even have a few things in my own office that I’ve asked Legacy to create – things that I couldn’t find anywhere else that would fit in a difficult-shaped area. If we have a customer who is asking about a dining room set, but also needs a corner hutch, we will coordinate it the best we can with Legacy as far as the finish, wood, and hardware. The customer gets something unique – something the customer wouldn’t find anywhere else.

I have to say that all of our work with Legacy has been positive. If we ever have a problem, Legacy takes care of it in a timely manner. Legacy always has the material when we want it. I’ve known Larry and Steve from Legacy for 30 years, and my experience with them has been just great. What’s neat about Legacy – especially when it comes to custom cabinets, bookshelves, and things like that – these aren’t things you can buy out of a box. You save thousands of dollars with Legacy, and the products fit like a glove. Legacy has a tremendous number of colors, stains, and choices. The people there custom-make the products and apply the finish as well. The construction is better than anything I’ve ever seen! For example, they use ¾” oak veneer on the ends of their cabinets. The draw slides are so strong; you can almost stand on them. They are heavy duty! I have Legacy Custom Furniture bid on jobs about three to four times a year, and the folks there have told me that when they provide bids on jobs, they get them 80 percent of the time.

We’ve used Legacy for several projects, going back about five or six years. The last project was for some pretty significant furniture pieces for our church sanctuary. We wanted to give Legacy an opportunity to bid with other big companies out there. We used Legacy in the past, with great success. I first met the people from Legacy when I found out they were building cabinets in Jefferson. I’ve been working with them now for about eight years. It’s been great! I’ve had several really great experiences with Legacy. Legacy did such a wonderful job on my own home that I recommended the company to my church for our new addition and renovation/building project. It was something completely different from what Legacy was used to doing, but Legacy took the project and did just a fabulous job. Our favorite piece is the baptismal font that Legacy built around a stone bowl, with a light in the bottom, so the bowl glows. It’s just beautiful.
